Terms of use

These terms cover frienduit.com and the online features ThoughtJunkie uses (publishing, comments, groups, co-op, the marketplace and AI). By using them you agree to these terms.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 to use Frienduit.
• Keep your email account safe: sign-in links are sent there, and anyone who can open them can sign in as you.
• Pick a username that isn't misleading (don't pretend to be someone else).

Your maps and posts

• What you make is yours. You keep ownership of the maps, comments and other things you post.
• To run the service you give us permission to store them, show them to the people your visibility setting allows, and make the copies that hosting needs (backups, thumbnails, previews). That permission ends when you delete them, except for copies in backups, which age out.
• Only post things you have the right to share.

Please don't

• Post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual content involving minors, or other people's private information.
• Spam, scam, or impersonate people.
• Try to break into accounts, get around limits or permissions, or disrupt the service. If you find a security problem, tell us at hello@frienduit.com instead. Thank you.
• Use the AI features to make harmful content. They're also bound by Anthropic's usage policy.

We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. If we do, and it's reasonable to, we'll tell you why.

Sparks, Gems and purchases

• Sparks are earned by taking part. Gems are bought. Both can only be used on Frienduit and have no cash value. They can't be sold, transferred or exchanged for money.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay.
• If something you bought doesn't work, email us and we'll fix it or refund you. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the Gems or items from it are removed.
• Gems don't expire while Frienduit is running.
• If you delete your account, any Sparks and Gems on it are lost. If we end an account for seriously breaking these terms, its Sparks and Gems are lost too; if we made a mistake, we'll restore them.
• If we ever shut Frienduit down, we'll stop selling Gems, give you at least 60 days' notice to use them, and refund unspent Gems bought in the 90 days before the announcement.

AI features

AI results can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it. Monthly AI limits depend on your plan.

Changes and availability

We're a small team and Frienduit is still growing. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be down. We'll give notice before removing something you've paid for. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and let you know.

Ending

You can stop using Frienduit and ask us to delete your account at any time (any Sparks and Gems on it are lost). We may end accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

The legal part

Frienduit is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be limited by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA.
